Tech giants like Microsoft, Apple and Meta (then Facebook) know better than you, and they know metaverse will be the main way people will communicate and socialize. Metaverse still seems to be a relatively loose term, but how these companies mainly see it, is people using 3D digital avatars to communicate rather than 2D walls of text/media. Yes the idea already exists, young folks already socialize in 3D video games and such. What will be different however, is this medium of communication overtaking the traditional social media (whatsapp, twitter, etc), at least in their form which we’re used to.
Reasons why these companies are bullish on it now more than ever, include (but not limited to):
1- The pandemic accelerated people’s dependency on online meetings/working/studying like never before.
2- The increasing accessibility and advancement of VR/AR hardware.
3- And the big elephant in the room: Normalization of virtual currencies and digital ownerships (NFTs).
Having that said. I am convinced the coins which are the first movers in this category will likely continue to get stronger in years to come. When other coins say they’re the SAND/MANA/X killer, that’s where you know the first mover has won. Hasn’t happened yet, but we’ll see.
Nice reasoning. Bullish for sand
I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
Very bullish for Sand…the Adidas partnership sealed the deal for me.
… . title is out of sync with the Post for some reason.
In that , Metaverse tokens will probably be huge in the next years to come.
True, first movers make big money.
The only reason people are ‘crazy’ about Metaverse is money.
That technology is still years away and right now it looks kinda funny.
Correct
Has anyone ever heard of Vrchat?
So you don’t like a big digital boat that loses 99% of its value over a weekend?
I agree with you generally but there’s like 500 people online in decentraland and the coin is valued at 7 billion
So sand is gonna be the Metaverse Bitcoin
First movers often make the most money, it’s just riskier. You have to be willing to take that risk.
SAND vs MANA?
Both are terrible games experiencing price action based solely on empty hype. Oasis Protocol is actually partnered with Facebook, and has a network that is capable of tokenizing private user data. They will likely be the biggest network in the Metaverse.
The concept is relatively new and people only buy from hearsay, it doesn’t seem like the best time to enter
I’m bullish on everything metaverse.
I like SAND. Its very round and soft and goes to the moon.
My issue is they have no users and are valued billions already
Facebook says they’re making a VR platform and everyone apes their money into vaguely related projects like Sand. Who says Facebook has any interest in hitching with Sand. Nobody ever. Pure speculation that makes hardly any sense. It’s the same as the dot com bubble when every website on the Internet got a billion dollar valuation just because they were ‘an Internet company’ Sand and Mana are somehow now the future of Facebook’s metaverse and VR in general according to retail traders who just learned about blockchain this year. Looking forward to making some short profits from the bubbles going pop when the projects go nowhere.
I own sand, gala, enjin
Don’t forget gala
Facebook, despite our contention, is the biggest player here, and will be able to develop products that reach the largest user base. For that reason, I believe Oasis Protocol is best poised to take advantage of the Metaverse hype. In addition to their partnership with Facebook, they have one of the best development teams and a truly unique and capable platform.
In this past month, I bought a lot of SAND, ILV, MANA, ENJ, AXS. As you can see, pretty bullish on metaverse coins.
