Hey, I was browsing reddit a while ago regarding an alleged scam with a helium clone called lifibeam. Basically, you buy a modem that mines crypto. And on the thread, the guy that made a down payment on the modem using crypto was refunded a lower crypto amount due to the USD value of the particular crypto increasing since the initial payment in the equivalent of whatever USD Value. And he was feeling cheated on.
Now taking aside the particular situation of them, I kind of agree with the seller on this one, I think that if you buy a product priced in USD that has also a crypto payment option and you choose crypto, you should be reimbursed the USD amount at the moment of the refund, and not the full amount that was given in crypto (could be lower, could be higher), and if the product is priced only in crypto then of course, the entire crypto amount regardless of the price changes.
Any thoughts ?
